Release Date: Late September 2015
This review has some very mild NSFW pictures.
Tomoe has the honor of being my first Native figure. To be honest, I really like the creativity and high quality of Native figures. However, most of the poses are too lewd for me (as expected of cast off figures). When I first glimpsed Tomoe, I was blown away by how beautiful she was! I adore figures with Japanese kimonos and she was relatively SFW to display unless you get really close to her. She was designed by the famous illustrator Tony Taka and is classified for 18+ and up.

On Day 2, we woke up early to take a mini-photo shoot of my Maki cosplay. Across from the hotel there is a Cancer Survivor park which had some great shots for photos. My kind husband, who I dragged along to the Animefest, was my photographer! Here are some of my favorite shots below!

I decided to take a leap into the convention world and travel the four hours it takes from Houston to Dallas to attend AnimeFest 2015. Luckily, I was already prepping my Maki Nishikino cosplay outfit for the Love Live! movie premiere. I put in some hard work and made the finishing touches on my outfit! The reason I wanted to go to this convention so badly was because one of my favorite “mangaka”, Arina Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite, Kaitou Jeanne), was going to be a special guest at the convention.

When I heard the Love Live! Movie was coming to the US, I was super excited. As tickets went on sale, I immediately bought a pair to attend the movie. Imagine my joy when I found out the theaters would be giving freebies to ticket holders. This just deepened my passion and I was curious exactly what I would get.
After some random Mandarake searching I found the LL Movie autograph boards. A bit of googling on the NIS website confirmed these were the give-aways! Wiithout further ado see below for the nice swag the LL fans will be getting!!
Personally, I’m hoping to get Umi as I love the design of her board and she’s one of my favorites. I’m a nerd and calculated the probability I’ll get her with 2 tickets and it’s a measly 22%. Honoka would be my next hopeful.
Are you happy with these giveaways or were you wishing for something else?
Will you be trading for your favorite?

KIRINO KOUSAKA – TRUE END VER. BY MAX FACTORY
Today we’ll be looking at a figure that was made about a year ago. I have to admit I watched Oreimo for one episode and couldn’t stomach the relationship or Kirino. This figure was bought purely on beauty. I purchased her from a local friend brand new. Since she was an exclusive, I wasn’t sure where I could get her by myself (although I now know better). The times I have seen her pop up on Mandarake, she’s snatched up almost immediately so I think she’s quite hard to get nowadays.

Over Labor Day weekend, I’ll be going to my first major anime convention at Animefest in Dallas. I’m super excited because one of my favorite mangaka will be there Arina Tanemura! (Full Moon Wo Sagashite, Kaitou Jeanne). I’ve been to a smaller convention in Houston but didn’t really get the whole con experience since the convention was disorganized and I couldn’t figure out what time the forums/panels were.
However, this time around I plan to attend several forums/panels and the special guest autograph session. What kind of advice do you have for attending the forums and successfully getting an autograph? Do you wait in line like an hour in advance or can I get some kind of number? How much merchandise will a guest usually sign? I am thinking of bringing an art book and maybe some manga. I also wanted to make her a little clay figure of her characters to gift to Tanemura-San. I’m not sure if this is allowed?
Lastly, I intend to cosplay Maki from Love Live! In her Boku wa Ima outfit. Any tips for surviving a full day in cosplay? Luckily her outfit is somewhat comfortable but I will still be wearing a short wig.
Anyone else going?
